    Types of Anxiety Disorders

    There are several types of anxiety disorders, counting:

    Generalised Anxiety Disorder

    You feel excessive and unreasonable worry and tension about everyday activities. These feelings may be persistent.

    Panic Disorder

    You experience sudden, intense fear that triggers a panic attack. During a panic attack, you may sweat, feel chest pain, and have a racing heart.     Social Anxiety Disorder

    Phobias

    You intensely fear a specific object or situation, such as heights or flying. This fear is beyond reason and may cause you to avoid everyday conditions.

    Agoraphobia

    You have an intense fear of being in a place anywhere it is likely difficult to escape or get help in an emergency. For example, you may feel panic or anxiety on an aeroplane, on public transportation, in a confined space, in a crowded line, or simply being away from home.

    Your children aren’t the only ones who knowledge fear or anxiety when a loved one plants. Separation anxiety disorder can affect anyone. If you have this disorder, you will experience intense anxiety or fear when someone close to you is out of sight. You will constantly worry that something bad will happen to your loved one. In older age, you may experience this anxiety after a traumatic event.

    This is a type of social anxiety disorder in which young children who usually interact with their family do not speak up in public, such as at school.

    Medication-induced anxiety disorder

    If you take or stop taking certain medications or illegal drugs, you may experience symptoms of an anxiety disorder.

    Unspecified and other specified anxiety disorders

    With these disorders, your anxiety may not fit into any other category, but it is significant enough to cause distress and other symptoms.
